Kinnigoli : Private bus crew went on a flash strike  at Kinnigoli on March 12, Wednesday in protest against the alleged assault on a bus driver by the president  of the local bus operators association.

Sources said Durgaprasad Shetty, President of Kinnigoli Bus Owners Association had censured   Hassan, driver of Adi Janardhana Bus  operating on the Mangalore-Kateel-Kinnigoli route over not maintaining timings. This resulted in a heated exchange of words  following which  Shetty reportedly assaulted Hassan.

Soon after this, private bus crew on the route  resorted to a flash strike disrupting bus services. Mulki police who arrived at the spot  pacified the agitators and the situation soon returned to normalcy.
