Mangalore, Jul 7: A fire broke out in a wholesale dental supplies godown on the first floor of the Laxmi Krishna building at Balmatta on Monday July 7th night.

The fire was massive, with the flames completely engulfing the inside of the building and reducing the contents to ash. The Fire personnel were called in immediately and managed to douse the fire after a lot of effort.

Smoke however, prevented entry into to the godown for some time thereafter.

The cause of the fire is as yet undetermined.  Kadri Police arrived at the spot but the owner has yet to be identified.
