Kasargod: A fire erupted at a three-storeyed warehouse at Fort Road in Kasargod here on Thursday night here, resulting in losses worth lakhs of rupees. No loss of life has been reported.

The fire erupted after the owner had left for home, locking the warehouse, where plastic goods were being stored. The people residing nearby spotted thick smoke emerging from the building and informed the fire department.

Three fire engines rushed to the spot and the fire was doused after few hours. While the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that a short circuit may have led to the tragedy.
