Mangaluru: Fire broke out at BSNL Junior Telecom Exchange, located at Deralakatte on Tuesday, June 2.

An electrical short circuit is said to be the reason for the fire. The incident took place on Tuesday morning at 10 am, when the office was opened.

Immediately, fire personnel and police rushed to the spot. Fire was extinguished after half an hour operation by the fire personnel, sources informed.

Several materials were gutted. However, estimation of exact loss is yet to be made.
