Mangaluru: An electrical short-circuit in an air conditioning unit of ‘Hotel Manorama’, located on K S Rao Road, caused it to burst at around 10.30 PM on Tuesday, May 7. No casualties have been reported.

Sources from the Pandeshwar fire department informed that the short-circuit in the air conditioning unit resulted in a fire in a room on the fourth floor of the building.

As soon as the fire broke out, the guests at the hotel immediately rushed out to safety.

When the fire fighters were alerted about the fire, they immediately took action and put out the flames within half an hour.
