Mangalore: The Suratkal Police have on Monday July 7 arrested a  bigamist who is also a father of 14 children, on the charges of  continuously raping a minor girl since the past few months. The accused was produced before the court.

The arrested person is Hameed (45). It is  learnt, he has admitted during interrogation that he had sexually  assaulted the 14 year old neighbouring girl since the past six months. It is learnt, the accused  used to  rape the girl when there was none in the house.

The matter came to light when the girl’s family on seeing that she was depressed questioned her.  The girl has been subject to medical examination. The arrest followed a complaint by her.

Interrogations of the accused have also revealed that he had cheated several women.
