Manipal: A tragic incident unfolded on National Highway 169(E) in Manipal, where a fatal accident claimed the life of a young rider on the spot.
The deceased has been identified as Akshaya Bhat (26), hailing from Hiriyadaka. He was unmarried and employed as a cook. The tragedy occurred near the Indrali temple as he was commuting back home after participating in a public food offering event for Navratri.
Authorities from the Manipal police station arrived at the scene for an investigation, while social worker Nithyananda Ulkadu assisted in transporting the body to the KMC’s medical examination center.
