Mangaluru: Former Minister K Amarnath Shetty told the media that the supporters and well wishers of Mohan Alva would hold a public meet in Moodbidri at Swaraj Maidan on August 12 at around 2:30 pm, to provide Alva a moral support against the “conspiracy” made to tarnish the image of Alva’s Education Foundation in the unnatural death of a high school girl of the institution on July 20.

Amarnath Shetty also said that a speedy investigation should be done in the issue and truth should come out. “Whoever has committed the crime, should be punished as per the law of this land. The institution will not protect anyone in the issue. The death of Kavya has also pained us. The family should get the justice. But misleading the people on social media is not fair”, he opined.

The press note also stated that Dr. B Yashovarma, trustee of SDM Institutions, Rev. Fr.
