Kasaragod: In a ghastly road mishap, six including five belonging to the same family hailing from Kasargod died as the car they were travelling in hit a culvert in Andhra Pradesh during the wee hours of Monday.

The deceased have been identified as Robin, his wife Bismol, their four-month-old child, Robin’s parents Devasya and Tresia, and their driver Pavan.

It is said that the family was settled in Telangana. They were on their way back home from Kerala after the child’s baptism ceremony.

Though the exact reason for the mishap is not yet ascertained, it is suspected that the driver might have fallen asleep at the wheel leading to the accident.
