Fajir church theft: Prime accused arrested

Mudipu: The prime accused in the Fajir church theft case was arrested by the Konaje police on Thursday, January 28.
Sahul Hameed from Rajagudde in Harekala village is the arrested.

It maybe recalled that all the valuables of the Fajir Church were stolen by a couple of thieves after which they escaped. The theft however, was recorded in the CCTV placed at the church premises.

Konaje police had recovered the stolen items and had arrested the accused.

But the main accused Sahul was still absconding. He is also said to have been involved in looting a mobile shop and then a fancy story in Deralakatte.

However, he was arrested on Thursday. Konaje police inspector Ashok, PSI Sudhakar, staff Santhosh C J, Shivaprasad, Chandrashekhar and Rajesh were involved in the operation.

He has been produced in the court.
