Mulki: The front portions of an  express bus and a tempo  were badly mangled after they collided head on near the Kolnadu Bridge  in Mulki Police Station limits on Wednesday June 25. Luckily, there were no casualties.

Eyewitnesses said rash and negligent driving on the part of the driver of the   Mangalore-Udupi express bus led to the accident. The tempo laden with grocery items was heading towards Suratkal from Udupi.

Traffic was disrupted on the route for over an hour after the mishap as the traffic police arrived  at the spot much later. Long queues of vehicles were seen on both sides and the public themselves regulated traffic.

North Traffic Police have registered a case.
