Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner AB Ibrahim inaugurated the photography exhibition on former Karnataka chief minister Late D Devaraj Urs on Thursday, February 25.

The exhibition organized by the Department of Information and Public Relations at Government Workers’ Auditorium here on February 25 – 26, exhibits pictures of his childhood, education and political career among others.

“The contribution of Devaraj Urs as the Chief Minister of Karnataka is immense. The Land Reforms Act implemented during his tenure gave a new lease of life to the farmers, with rights over the land that they cultivated. His role in uplifting the State’s economy, the brave measures he took to reform the State will always be a lesson to budding politicians,” the DC said.
