Mangaluru:The Sangh Parivar claims it works to ameliorate the plight of Hindus in the nation. The Bajrang Dal activists motivated by the hate teachings of the Sangh Parivar,  languishing in jail or out on bail,  have been disowned by the RSS.

Pitching this contention, former state convener of Bajrang Dal Mahendra Kumar in an exclusive telephone talk with NewsKarnataka.com, says “the teachings of the Parivar, are, in one way derailing the prospects of many Hindu youths of the nation”. The RSS, he stressed, is a strong motivational force behind the violence carried out by Dal and other offshoots. However, at the end of the day, the RSS, disown the acts and the activists, by claiming that the Dal functions independently and RSS does not endorse notoriety.

Mahendra Kumar who spent over 42 days in Jail after the 2008 Church attack, rephrased ‘Church attack’ as an attack on conversion centers. He said “I never in any interview or in any press meet claimed responsibility for the attack.” Kumar, on the other hand expressed the view that, while the vandalism is carried out by the Dal, he cannot resort to escapism. “I said attack was launched by the Bajrang Dal activists and attributed the attack to the Dal.” He said it would be wrong, if he does not make Dal responsible, on his part being the state convener of Dal

Double standards of RSS

Kumar, who joined the RSS at the age of 17, said RSS was the true force behind communal clashes. The RSS however do not agree with this view. The leaders of the Sangh Parivar sow the seeds of hatred and anger against Muslims and Christians during speeches and baitaks. “How RSS can disown the misdeeds done at the behest of teachings of Sangh by its offshoots,” he questioned.

The sons and daughters of Sangh Parivar pursue medical, engineering and other white collar education, while many innocent Hindu youths are sent to jail for indulging in communal crimes. The Parivar, never comes to rescue these hapless youths. In other words the RSS is spoiling the future of Hindu youths. He recalled a communal clash that spiraled out of control,  after few Muslims hoisted the Pakistan flag in which two Hindu youths were booked. Mahesh added the two youths underwent ITC and OTC training in RSS. Surprisingly RSS disowned them saying the duo are not affiliated to the Sangh.

Use and Throw

“The RSS practices use and throw tactics. The Parivar uses Hindu youths for its political benefits and later junk them after the RSS and BJP’s desires are served by the young Hindus”

He said, “the RSS did injustice to Sri Rama Sene Chief Pramod Mutalik and me. B K Somshekhara commission reports held me responsible but not the Dal”. Kumar referring to this, said this is how RSS influenced the report, to topple him. “Many Bajrang Dal activists meet me complaining of this when they are junked by the RSS and BJP,” he reiterated.

Hindutva
The former Dal state convener opined that the present Hindutva practice by the Sangh Parivar was not real Hinduism. “RSS should propagate teachings of Swami Vivekananda not the teachings of Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat.” The hate was not taught by Bhagavat Geeta. Hinduism preaches tolerance. Why is RSS not popularizing this? He asked.

The agenda of the RSS, it seems, is a political one. Sangh and BJP want communal tensions to grip ahead of elections to secure votes from the majority. In other words it looks like both do not want peace and prosperity among Hindus. He interestingly argued that the RSS was miffed by the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister was working in the direction of bettering the nation, while leaders from RSS and VHP were creating unnecessary controversies like Ghar Wapsi, making the Geeta as the  national book and others.

Eliminate caste system

The RSS should toil to eliminate caste system bothering Hindus, the prime reason for conversion of Hindus into other religious folds. But, he expressed that RSS is indulging in hate politics spoiling the prospects of Hindus. He reiterated the speeches of Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat and Sadhwi Balika Saraswathi fuel communal tensions and do not improve the status of Hindus.
