Vittal: “Even the Indian security forces are not aware of the surgical strikes done during the regime of UPA government. But, Congress leaders are simply claiming that surgical strike is not new and it was done during their regime also”, claimed the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate for Mangaluru Lok Sabha constituency, Nalin Kumar Kateel.

Addressing a poll campaign at Vittal after conducting a rally on Tuesday, April 17, Nalin said, “Only two countries in the whole world have done surgical strikes in the history, that is India and USA. India had done surgical strike during the BJP government only. But, Congress leaders have been claiming that surgical strike was done during their regime also, only to gain the confidence of people.”

Nalin spoke of the need to build a strong nation and opined that the whole country was eagerly waiting to re-elect Modi as the prime minister of the country again. “The big crowd gathered during Modi’s recent visit to Nehru Maidan has revealed the huge support for him. In order to bring good administration and build a strong society, Modi government is a must “, he opined.

BJP District President and MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor alleged that the Congress leaders had instigated communal violence in the district. “Former minister Ramanath Rai has no moral right to question Nalin Kumar Kateel as the highest number of murders took place when he was the district in-charge minister. He has not done any developmental works, instead, he was provoking the minority community against other community”, Rai said.

Prior to the public meeting, Nalin and his supporters sought votes from the public through Padayatra. The poll campaign was held at Sullia also on Tuesday. Leaders Krishna J Palemar, Mallika Prasad Bhandary, Ravishankar Mijar and Radhakrishna Borkar among others were present.
