Mangaluru: Registrar (Evaluation) of Mangaluru University Dr. A M Khan conducted a press meet here on March 5 at University college regarding the allegations of error in the semester results of first grade colleges under Mangalore University.

Speaking on the issue Khan told that students need not worry as the marks they scored were intact. He also told that they were looking into issue and everything would be set alright in a week.

“There’s a delay in announcing the results and if the students have any issues or errors in result, we request them to bring it to the notice of the University through the helpline 0824-2287277 or our office at 0824- 2287327.”

Khan told that there were various reasons like writing wrong examination codes, non-submission of internal assessment marks and non-approval of admission which is leading to the delay. He has asked the students not to panic and contact either the Principals of their colleges or the University helpdesk.

On the media’s query if the who’s to be blamed for the situation, Khan responded saying that error on students’ behalf like writing wrong registration numbers, mismatch in registered language and mentioned language in answer sheet is leading to all the errors.

“340 complaints had been registered and 202 were resolved. A week more and the problem would be set right. If the students are still finding trouble they can always contact our helpdesk”, he added.

Prashanth Nayak, special officer (Exams) and Manohar Shivram, system analyst were present.
