Mangaluru: Around 2050 applicants will be allotted title deeds under 94C and 94CC of Karnataka State Land Revenue Act during state revenue minister Kagodu Thimmappa visit to Mudipu on September 14.
The pro-people initiative of the government is bound to help the poor and siteless in a big way.
A total of 3000 applications had been received by the government under the 94 c category while 6642 applications were received under the 94 cc category. Of these, 2050 eligible applicants have been identified and title deeds will be allotted to them during the minister’s visit here.
Eligible applicants from the general category are required to pay a sum of Rs 1000 while those from SC/ST category have to pay Rs 500/- for a 1,200 sq ft land while procuring the title deed in the 94 c category. Under the 94 cc category the general and SC/ST category will have to pay Rs 10000 and Rs 5000 respectively for a 1,200 sq ft land.
Regarding the POS machine at fair price shops, Minister for food and Civil supplies U T Khader said that the machines have been installed at 473 outlets of the 491 outlets in the district. A team comprising of retired IAS officers will scrutinise and the private agency will install machines at the outlets that have so far done it and their commission will be deducted in the later months towards the charges.
BPL card holders will be given two gas cylinders along with the gas connection under Anila bhagya scheme as per an initiative taken up by state government in association with the forest and socio economic department, he added.
Further he apprised that a MOE will be signed on Wednesday for the day care centre to be opened for Endosulfan victims. Members of health department, state government, Tv9 and Sanidhya will be present during the occasion.
