Mangaluru: A total of eight constables attached to the Puttur police station have been asked to undergo home quarantine after they showed symptoms of Covid-19 on Monday, May 25.
According to sources four constables from the Puttur Town Police station, two each from the Puttur Women Police Station and Traffic Police Station showed symptoms of Covid-19 like throat pain and fever. It is said that they were on duty at the Puttur taluk’s borders.
Doctors have advised them to undergo home quarantine for 14 days.
It can be noted that a Head Constable at the Vittal Police Station has tested positive for Covid-19 and has is being treated for the same at the dedicated Covid hospital of the Dakshina Kannada district, Wenlock Hospital.
