Sullia: District in-charge Minister Ramanath Rai said on Saturday that every person should be literate to have an exploitation-free society.

Inaugurating the new building of Sullia First Grade College, he stated that the number of students pursuing higher education is very less in India. To increase that number, development of educational institution is necessary.

“Long ago education was like a mirage, but now everyone has the right to get education. Parents and public should show strong will power to improve educational institutes. Under ‘Sarva Shikshana Abhiyaana’ and ‘Maadhyamika Sarva Shikshana Abhiyaana’ scheme,, high schools are getting financial aid for the development of basic infrastructure,” he said.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that, quality education with basic facilities is being provided in almost all the schools.

“We should change the old mindset of acquiring a government job but not studying in a government school,” he added.

MLC Ivan D’Souza inaugurated the newly built multigym.

He said that, three new KW solar electricity units will be built at Sullia First Grade College.

MLA S Angara, Social Welfare Committee State President Divyaprabha Chilthadka, Principal Padbanabha and others were present.
