Kasargod: Manjeshwar police have arrested two persons who were dumping poultry wastes in a lake.  Those arrested are Khaleel (19) of Bayaru and Mehboob (23) of Bayarpadavu, an autorickshaw driver.

The police who were patrolling the area at around 10 pm on July 25, Friday apprehended the two when they had arrived in the autorickshaw with an intention of dumping the poultry wastes in the lake. They had as much as 100 kg of wastes with them.

It is learnt, they had availed contract to dispose poultry wastes of various chicken stalls in the town and used to dump them in lakes and public places.
