Dubai-based businessman adopts tiger cubs from Pilikula Biological Park

Mangaluru: Four tiger cubs aged 2 have been adopted by Michael D’souza, a business man from Dubai by paying an adoption cost of Rs 5 lakhs for the maintenance of the cubs.
Cubs have been named as ‘Amar’, ‘Akbar’ and ‘Antony’ and the female cub as ‘Nisha’ as requested by the donor.

Cubs were born to ‘Netravathy (9yrs) and ‘Vikram’ (14yrs).

Another tiger ‘Kumar’ born in Pilikula Biological Park has been adopted by Prashanth Shet, owner of S.L Shet Jewellers and Navaratna Group of Hotels, Mangaluru. He has paid Rs 2 lakhs for the maintenance of the tiger, said H J Bhandary Director Pilikula Biological Park Mangaluru.
