Kasaragod: An autorickshaw driver lost his life and five others were injured in a mishap at Nellittara in Kanangad limits on November 16.

V Kumaran (57), a resident of Pullur is the deceased.

Manohar ( 52), Pitambaran (45), pedestrian Saudhamani and Vanaja were among the injured in the incident. The injured were rushed to a private hospital soon after the incident.

The accident took place when the autorickshaw driver lost control over the vehicle after hitting a pedestrian.

Police have registered a case.
