Belthangady: Recognising the outstanding service rendered by Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Veerendra Hegde in religious, social, and cultural fields, the Department of Kannada and Culture to honour him with the “Sri Bhagwan Mahavira peace National Award” informed the director of the Department. 

The press release stated that in a simple ceremony at Ravindra Kalakshetra in Bengaluru on Wednesday minister Sunil Kumar will present the award.
