Belthangady: A delegation of Akhila Bharath Tulu Okkoota and Tulu Academy led by Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Minister for Home Affairs Rajnath Singh in New Delhi and kept forth a demand to include Tulu language in 8th Schedule of the Constitution.
During the meeting, Dr Heggade explained to the PM and the Home Minister about the richness of Tulu language and also handed over a memorandum in this regard.

The meeting is expected to give a major boost to the longstanding demand of inclusion of the language in 8th Schedule.
