Dolphin washed ashore; locals claim cetacean mammal battling for life

Mangaluru: A dolphin of length 1.5 meters washed ashore at Hosabettu on June 17, it is reported.


The locals claimed that the intelligent sea creature is alive and battling for life, and locals are making efforts to put the dolphin back into the sea. The locals suspected that cetacean mammal was injured or consumed toxic industrial waste.

It is suspected that strong waves could have pushed it ashore.
