Bantwal: A case has been registered against the doctor who gave preliminary treatment to the 50-year-old lady from Bantwal who died of Covid-19 on Sunday.

It can be noted that the lady’s death is the first such incident to be reported from the Dakshina Kannada district.

Before her death, the woman was being treated by a local doctor.

Now, a case has been registered against the doctor in the Bantwal Town Police Station for neglecting her symptoms and not informing the health department about the case, thereby leading to a potential spread of the infection.
