Mangaluru: DK District saw two deaths due to the COVID19 virus on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. Two men, one aged 78 from Bengre and a 31-year-old man from Bhatkal passed away according to reports emanating from the District Administration.

Both had comorbidities. The 78-year-old man was suffering from diabetes and pneumonia while the 31-year-old man had high blood pressure. Both passed away at private hospitals in the city.

The 31-year-old man’s swabs were collected after his death and tested positive for the virus.

he two deaths have taken the district’s death toll to 16.
