Mangalore :The Dakshina Kannada district unit of the BJP released its election manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections at the party office in the city on Saturday, April 5 in the presence of several party leaders.



Capt.Ganesh Karnik, MLC who spoke on the occasion, elaborated on the highlights of the manifesto and added it has been prepared keeping in mind the overall development and the best interests of the people of the district.
The manifesto has mentioned about the four-laning of the National Highway and railway track doubling works across the district. Capt. Karnik said the BJP will also give preference to introducing local trains on Mumbai lines.
Giving details on other aspects, he also spoke about manifesto highlights relaxing the CRZ norms on Kerala lines, 24 hour power supply to farmers, setting up of Special Agricultural Zone, setting up of an international stadium in Mangalore, encouraging environment friendly industries to provide job opportunities etc.
Former MLAs Kumble Sunder Rao, Yogish Bhat, BJP Election Publicity Campaign Committee President Rukmaya Poojari, Party spokesperson Jayaram Shetty, former mayor Rajani Dugganna and others were present.
