Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Automobile & Tyre Dealers’ Association felicitated Sri R. Atmanathan, a respected trade veteran and former regional manager, Madras Auto Service (TVS Group), with ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ for his extraordinary contribution to the automobile spare parts trade in the state, especially in coastal region.

The award was given during 33rd Annual General Meeting of the Association which was held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, 17th September 2017 at Centenary Hall of Pompeii Church, Lady Hill Circle, Mangalore. Presently settled in Bengaluru, Sri R. Atmanathan had served for 14 years in Managluru from 1982 to 1996. During this period had played an important role in mobilizing membership for the newly Association.

Sri R. Atmanathan received from award from Association Vice President Sri Kasturi Prabhakar Pai, Secretary Sri K. Vilas Kumar, Treasurer Sri Maroor Shashidhar Pai, Joint Secretary Sri R. P. D’souza, Joint Treasurer Sri Laxminarayan Nayak and Patron Sri K. G. Shenoy.

On this occasion 22 meritorious students, who are children of association members or their employees, were also felicitated with certificates and cash awards for their extraordinary academic performance in SSLC and PUC examinations. Among the students, Kum. Bindu and Kum. Bindiya were given special honour along with their mothers Smt. Sheela and Smt. Revathi who are serving as housekeeping staff of a member organization as a tribute to Swachh Bharat Mission.
