Mangaluru: A 43-year-old man who was discharged from the Wenlock Hospital after recovering from COVID-19, received a standing ovation when he arrived at his apartment building located at Thokkottu on Friday, April 17.

After getting discharged from the hospital, he thanked the medical fraternity at Wenlock for taking care of him.

He will have to remain quarantined at home for the next 14 days as per the COVID-19 protocols.

The man was quarantined after he returned from the Tablighi Jamaat religious gathering at Nizamuddin in New Delhi. After he tested positive for COVID-19, he was moved to the Wenlock Hospital for treatment on April 4.

Meanwhile, his apartment building, “Smart Planet” was put under lockdown and members of the general public were not allowed within a 200-metre radius of the building. The same measures will be continued as the man has to remain under home quarantine for another 14 days.
