Dharmasthala temple ready to open from Monday: Dharmadhikari Heggade

Mangaluru: As religious places have been allowed to open from Monday, June 8, the Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara temple also be opening its door to the devotees.

Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade, on Saturday, June 6, informed the media that 800 to 1000 devotees will be allowed to visit the temple every day.

“The temple has been registering the Aadhaar card details of the devotees prior to their visit. They will be allowed to enter the temple only after their temperature is taken and they are sanitised. The staff will wear masks and gloves as a precautionary measure. As usual, all services can be availed in the temple,” he said.

Heggade also informed that Annadana (mass feeding) will be conducted at the Annapoorna Hall. “In order to maintain social distancing while mass feeding, seating arrangements will be made instead of a buffet system,” he added.
