Bantwal: This road which comes under Mangaluru north constituency has not seen development in last 30 years. MLA Moideen Bava had assured its concretisation after several demands by villagers. However, the road has virtually turned into a slushy field and has not been upgraded as promised, complain villagers.
BantwalThe road comes under the Mangaluru taluk Adyaru gram panchayath and Bantwal taluk Meramajalu village. The Meramajalu road has been concretised whereas Adyaru road has become a slushy field.

Last February Moideen Bava had promised to concretise the road. In the month of March the work was also begun. Now after four months the road remains the same. 50 families reside here in this area and travelling on this road has become a nightmare for  school going children and the locals. Nithya Sahaya Matha high school children have to walk on this pathetic road, says Shanti Lobo a resident.

When they complained about the road to the MLA, there was no response. We do not have any other alternative road and during emergency we have to depend on this road. Vehicles too are affected here. Even the Zilla panchayath members too are not serious about the issue, say locals.

District incharge minister too should act on the pathetic road, they say. If they fail to take any action within a week, we will seize the MLA’s residence and protest, warned localites Celine Pinto, Praveen Lobo, Ciril, Santhan Vas, Francis Mendonce, Stany Dsouza, Vishwanatha Belchada, Mohan Das, Namitha, Harish, Gopala Belchada, Dinakar and Raghu.
