Mangaluru: The much awaited Kadaba and Moodbidri will be officially inaugurated as taluks by Revenue Minister R V Deshpande on November 25.
Though the government had decided to declare Kadaba and Moodbidri as taluks, it was not officially inaugurated so far. Now, after completing the necessary procedures, it will be officially inaugurated on November 25.
Minister for Urban Development and Housing U T Khader told reporters at Circuit House on Tuesday, November 20 that Deshpande would inaugurate Kadaba taluk at around 9 AM and then the Moodbidri taluk on the same day at around 4 PM. He will also be inaugurating the Indira Canteen and disbursing title deeds at Bantwal on the same day. After these programmes, a meeting will be held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office with regard to the problems pertaining to revenue issues after 4 PM. Those who have problems with regard to conversion of their land and other issues of revenue may approach district administration with a written complaint”, Khader informed.
‘Frequency towers should be installed 50 meters away from schools, hospitals and religious centers’
Informing about the new set of rules for installing mobile and other frequency towers Khader said, the frequency towers shall be installed at least 50 meters away from the religious centres, hospitals and educational institutions. Those towers which are already installed near such prohibited areas should be removed within three months. If not, the government itself would take immediate measures to remove the towers, Khader added.
‘Cabinet approval for development works’
Khader also informed about the cabinet approval for the construction of Kankanady market, court building at Bannur in Puttur and multi-purpose drinking water project in Ullal. “The government has consented to release Rs 41 Crore for Kankanady market, Rs 21 Crore for Court complex at Bannur in Puttur taluk and Rs 198 Crore for the multi-purpose drinking water project at Ullal”, he informed.
Mayor Bhaskar K, Zilla Panchayat member Mamatha Gatti, other Congress leaders like Sadashiv Ullal and Ishwar Ullal among others were present.
