Mangaluru: The dengue scare continues in the city with eight fresh cases reported at various hospitals in Dakshina Kannada district on Saturday, July 27.
However, when compare to the fresh cases of Friday, it can be noted that the number has been reduced. While 46 fresh dengue cases were reported on Friday, the number reduced to 10 on Saturday.
Meanwhile, officials’ surprise visit to various houses and construction sites continued on Saturday as well. A team of MCC officials conducted surprise visits in the city to check water stagnation. Officials collected 10,000 from various institutions, business outlets among others, for allowing mosquitoes to breed in stagnant water in their premises.
Meanwhile, a team of officials and volunteers released guppy fish in Jeppu Gujjarakere to prevent mosquitoes from breeding there.
