Moodubidri: A memorandum has been submitted to Chief Minister through Moodubidri Tahshildar urging the state government to declare September 8 as government holiday.
The Indian Catholic Youth Movement has started a signature campaign to declare September 8 which is celebrated as Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as government holiday. The youth association has collected over 3000 signatures from 14 churches. The memorandum was submitted to the Chief Minister through Tahshildar Mohammed Isaac.

Moodabidri Deanary ICYM director Rev Fr Bajil Vas, president Jaison Shirthady, secretory Francis Monteiro, joint-secretory Joyson Lobo and many others were present on the occasion.
