DCM Dr C N Ashwath Narayan to inaugurate ABVP’s 39th state conference

Mangaluru: Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) is organising its 39th state conference at the Kudmul Ranga Rao Town Hall starting from February 7.

Conference reception committee president K C Naik told reporters here on Wednesday, February 5, that the conference will be inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan on February 7 at around 4 pm. ABVP former national president and former governor of Nagaland P B Acharya will preside over the programme. ABVP national organising secretary Ashish Chouhan and Mangalore University Vice-Chancellor Prof P S Yadapadithaya will be the chief guests at the programme.

Former national organising secretary of the ABVP, Sunil Ambekar will deliver a special lecture on ‘Present India’ on February 8 at around 11 am. On the same day, there will be a grand procession and public meeting at Car Street at around 5 pm, wherein ABVP state secretary Harsha Narayana will deliver the keynote address. On the final day of the conference, there will be another special lecture by former national joint organising secretary of ABVP K N Raghunandan on the topic ‘Our operating system and its importance’ on February 9 at 9 pm. 

Meanwhile, a session on ‘Nation and Culture, an overview’ will be organised at around 11 am, wherein ABVP former state president Cha Na Shankar Rao, Kannada Sahitya Academy president Dr B V Vasanth Kumar, ABVP state vice president Dr Rohinaksha Shirlalu will participate. During the three-day conference, over 150 students and teachers from different parts of the state will participate, Naik informed.

Reception committee secretary Shantharam Shetty, ABVP Mangaluru City President Bharathi Sanjay Prabhu and secretary Manikanta Kalasa were present.
