Udupi: The administration has sorted to put an end to the lingering issue of sewage water that has been following from the surrounding areas in the town.
On Tuesday May 13, the Hebri Gram Panchayath officials along with the DC Muddu Mohan personally visited Hebri and scrutinized the flow of the sewage water.


The Gram Panchayath officials have been asked by the DC to submit a report and seek a permanent solution for the sewage water in the town area at the earliest.
The DC also said the officials to solve the water leakage; a blue print for the solid waste management project should be designed consulting the experts, he directed.
He further added that the project will be taken up with the utilization of the “Nirmal Bharath Abhiyan” funds of Rs 20 lakh and another Rs 20 lakh will be released to take up solid waste management units.
He also warned the Panchayath officials that they will be held responsible for all illegal constructions in that area.
He directed the health department officials to take precautionary measures to avoid the spread of communicable diseases in the area as well.
