Mangalore:“Dandiya” is the word that enthralls every Indian. The special dance that is showcased during the Navarathri celebrations has a great importance among various communities of North India. It is performed irrespctive of the caste, creed and religion and it also is one of the symbols of India’s “Unity in Diversity”.

Similar celebration of Navarathri Utsav and Dandiya was organized by Excellent Dance academy located at Kunil Complex, in the city. The guests of the occasion Vijayalakshmi Malli, Maithri Malli, Mohit Malli, Kiran Alva, Disha Alva, Mr. Anand Proprietor of Prakash Offset Printers and Guru Shetty inaugurated the celebrations.
