Mangaluru: From September 6 to September 9, a series of religious and cultural events, including processions and celebrations related to Sri Krishna Janmashtami and curd pots, will take place throughout the district.

Thousands of individuals and devotees, including a significant number of children and women, are expected to take part in the event. In the interest of maintaining law and order and preventing any potential untoward incidents, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Mullai Mugilan has issued orders to close wine shops and bars from 6 am to 12 midnight on the days when curd potting events are held at various locations across the district.
