Vittal: In a tragic incident, a man who was toiling under the shade of a tree met his end as a coconut tree uprooted by strong wind fell over him, at Kanyana Village here, on Tuesday evening.

The deceased is Suleiman (41) from Mandyuru.

A gruesomely injured Suleiman was rushed to a private hospital in Vittal, but he was declared brought dead.

Suleiman, who was employed in the Middle East, had returned to his native village two-years-ago and had started working as a daily wage worker. He was seen in the plantations of one or the other local, working to eke out income for the day. He is survived by his wife, son and a daughter.
