Mangaluru: The officers of Customs at Mangalore International Airport seized 474.600 grams of gold on Tuesday valued at over Rs.12 lakh in the form of four numbers of ten tola gold bars and a gold coin.

The gold was concealed in the sandals worn by the passenger, who arrived from Dubai, the press release stated.

The passenger Hamsa Ameer (26) is a resident of Kasaragod arrived at Mangalore International Airport on November 25 by Jet Airways Flight No. 9W531 from Dubai.
