Mangaluru: The custom officers in Mangaluru on Saturday August 21 have traced 115 gms of gold hidden on the hairband and being smuggled.

The gold was hidden on the hairband in the form of a wire and was smuggled by a passenger who landed in Mangaluru on Air India Express flight from Dubai. The gold seized is worth Rs 5,58,900.

The person has been held and the customs officers are investigating the case.
