Mangaluru: ‘Crossroads’, national-level B-School Meet was organised by Mangalore University Department of Business Administration. The event was inaugurated on March 18, at Mangala Auditorium in Mangalore University, Konaje.
Around 10 colleges across Karnataka participated in the meet.
Ravish Kumar, Regional Manager HDFC Life was the Guest of honor, who emphasised that young business graduates must have individual goals in life, for which they have to work hard.
“Do what makes you happy. Do not join an organisation because of a plump salary alone. Instead take a call after understanding the values and organisational goal, but at the same time make sure you are not compromising on your value system and your own goals,” he said.
He urged the students to develop out of the box thinking because innovation and thinking differently can take them places and give them an extra edge over others.
Prof T.D Kemparaju Registrar, Mangalore University who was the Chief guest, said that management is one aspect, which touches every life.
“Management is required in every aspect of life and in every walk of life.It is undoubtedly a universal concept,” he said.
He called upon the students to not confine their learning within the portals of the universities and colleges, but strive to look beyond.
