Kasargod: A major mishap was averted here after an alert railway driver detected a crack on the railway track, here on October 15 near Trikkaripura.

The driver of the Mangaluru-Kannur bound train, after hearing a noise due to a frature on the tracks immediately stopped and averted a major mishap. The railway officials were informed about the incident.

Due to the incident, trains were delayed for hours.

The repair works are underway by the engineering department.
