Kasargod: Cops have arrested four persons in relation with the murder case of CPM activist Kumble Shantipalla Murali (37) on Tuesday.
Murali had been accused of killing a BJP worker, Dayanand, but had been acquitted by the court.

While on October 27, Murali, was stabbed to death by a gang of four people near Seethangoli, moreover BJP and CPM party workers are considering it a case of revenge.
The arrested are identified as Nithin (24) a resident of Kalyangad, Kiran (23), Mahesh (21) and Ajith (21) from Kudreppady.
It is learnt that these four men had helped murderers Bharathraj, Sharathraj, Mithun Kumar and Dinesh Acharya to escape. They had also given financial help to the accused. The arrested have been taken into custody for further interrogation.
After an interrogation, police have arrested four other people in this case while other two are absconding.
Home minister Ramesh Chennitthala has assured that Kannur IG Dinesh Kashyap will form a special team to nab the accused. Recently, CPM members and father of Murali had urged chief minister Oman Chandy and home minsiter to probe the murder case.
So the police team led by Kumble circle inspector K C Suresh Babu had arrested four BJP activists.
CPM has alleged political rivalry in the murder case.
