CPIM Manjeshwar Area Committee protests against K’taka Govt for closing Kerala border

Ullal: The Kerala CPIM Manjeshwar Area Committee staged a protest in Thalapady on Monday August 23 against the Karnataka government’s move to close the Kerala border, breaching the high court orders.

Speaking on this occasion Uduma MLA CH Kunhambu said, “The Karnataka BJP government in the name of the Corona pandemic has closed the border and is disturbing the frontier Keralites. Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai, Mangaluru MP Nalin Kumar Kateel visited Kerala during the elections and assured to extend complete support to the people residing in the Karnataka and Kerala borders. However, they are not keeping their words, he alleged.

“The Government of Karnataka does not have the authority to close boundaries,” he added.

CPIM leader Dayanand, Shankar Rai Master have spoken on this occasion. CPIM Manjeshwar area president Aravind presided over the function.
