Mangalore: The CPI (M) MP candidate Yadava Shetty filed his nomination as a candidate to the Deputy Commissioner AB Ibrahim from Dakshina Kannada constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, on Monday March 24.

Speaking to reporters, the CPI(M) candidate Shetty who has already identified himself with various pro-labour  movements,  said he was optimistic that the voters of the district would elect him this time.

Addressing to the opposition parties  he said that we are not like the Congress or the Bharatiya Janatha Party to approch the public only during election, but we are with the people always.

Despite the fact we are not in the opposition, our fight for people’s issues has not stopped, our agitations on various issues have awakened the government and helped to closely follow the impact of government policies and we will continue to do so, he added.
