Kasargod: A CPCRI worker drowned here in a river in Neeleshwar on February 19. The deceased has been identified as G R Ananthu (23) from Tiruvanthapuram.

The worker slipped and fell into the river when he had been to his relatives’ house.

Though his friends and locals shifted him immediately, he could not respond to the treatment.

He had joined CPCRI Kasargod unit as field promoter three days back.

Neeleshwar Police have registered a case in this regard.
