Bantwal :A Cow was found dead here in B C Road due to electrocution from a charged electric wire which had fallen on the road here on July 25.

The Cow had come in search of food near main circle in BC Road where garbage was dumped. It died when it stepped on the wire which had fallen near Transformer.

From many years Muncipal corporation had been dumping waste near the main circle.  Hotels, and other commercial establishments dump their waste here. Animals come in search of food to this garbage dump. In a similar situation the cow belonging to one Purusha(Ramesha) died, locals said.

the angry public caught hold of officers who visited the spot and expressed their dissatisfaction.

A few days back four college girls started vomiting and fell sick due to bad smell in the area. The district panchayath member Tungappa Bangera had helped them to get admitted in the hospital and he also complained of waste disposal to the authorities

People complained that the death of cow is due to the negligence of Municipal corporation, so they urged the officials to take action immediately.
