Mangaluru: The DC’s office in Mangaluru will remain closed from July 3 to July 5 for sanitization. This was announced by the deputy commissioner (DC) of Dakshina Kannada district Sindhu B Rupesh on Wednesday, July 1. This is in response to the rising number of COVID19 cases in the city.

The district health department is taking several measures to prevent the spread especially in public places where people frequent.

The order issued by the DC provides for a ban on public entry into all offices at the DC’s office including those of the Elected Representatives

The MCC office is also shut for a week for the same purpose and the decision preceded this closure by three days.
