Mangaluru: A total of 17 persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the Dakshina Kannada district on Friday, June 12.

With this, the total number of Covid-19 cases in the district has risen to 241.

Of the 17 persons who tested positive for Covid-19 today, 16 are men and one is a woman.

As many as 14 of the 17 persons had recently returned from Saudi Arabia, two came from Maharashtra and one has been diagnosed with a severe acute respiratory illness (SARI).

In Karnataka, the tally rose by 271 to 6516 and the death toll rose by seven to 79, on Friday.
